Divisional Director Engineering Europe and Middle East

Responsibilities:

• Establish best practices related to design methodology, design review, and Business Unit (BU) design competency; work with BU engineering teams to implement.
• Seek and develop novel geotechnical and geostructural engineering design solutions for Keller’s products.
• Serve as the main point of contact for divisional engineering needs, including extensive interaction with BU engineering leaders, BU leaders, and technical subject matter experts to ensure divisional design competence and consistency.
• Maintain Keller’s quality management policies and procedures.
• Oversee Keller’s Europe & Middle East Product Teams for technical development and knowledge sharing, and interface as necessary with the Global Product Teams.
• Help develop and present technical and project management learning programs in conjunction with the Keller’s learning & development professionals.
• Establish and maintain Keller’s innovation policies, procedures, and project management.
• Work with the legal department to maintain and expand Keller`s intellectual property (patents, etc.).
• Transfer knowledge and developments through this program to all BUs and to other divisions.
• Provides technical assistance for business development presentations and client meetings. 
• Serves on national technical committees to maintain Keller’s position and reputation of technical expertise.
• Work with Keller sustainability leadership to embed sustainability policies and initiatives into engineering practices.
• Provides guidance, direction, coaching, and support to direct reports to maximize individual and overall department performance.

Background requirements:

• Bachelor in Civil Engineering or Construction Management. MSc or PhD preferred.
• Minimum 15 years geotechnical or geostructural engineering design and management experience in geotechnical construction, design-build projects preferred. 
• Active member (or commitment to become an active member) of national and/or European organization technical committees.
• Excellent IT, written and verbal communication skills necessary.

Additional information:

The role can be based in any of our locations within the division. It requires regular travelling.
